Main Responsibilities - Translation of text, audio, and manuals in Japanese version game software - Translation of internal documents - Handling the 'language' part of works that are arranged for overseas In translation work, it's not just about replacing words; a creative sense is required to understand the image of the work and characters, and to create 'living words' that fit the culture and customs of each country. Currently recruiting translation languages - Japanese ⇒ English, German, French, Spanish Necessary Skills and Experience - Native language is one of the translation languages being recruited - Ability to communicate in Japanese without difficulty - Basic business applications (Word, Excel, etc.) must be usable Desirable Skills and Experience - Ability to cooperate and be flexible, working as part of a team - Excellent time management ability to perform at maximum within limited time - Experience in game translation or translation of literary works and videos - A love for Japanese subculture (games, anime, comics, light novels, etc.) Application Process The following tasks must be submitted. **For English applicants** - Write a piece of creative writing in the application language about a scene where a descendant of an antagonist from a Square Enix title confronts one of the main characters of the same title. (Between 800 to 1000 words) **For German, French, or Spanish applicants** - Write a piece of creative writing from the perspective of an antagonist appearing in a Square Enix title in the application language. (Between 800 to 1200 words) - There are no restrictions on eras or styles. - Questions about this task are not allowed.
